NBA assistant editors Ethan Norof and Joel C. Cordes discuss which trio of teams will make up the league's best defensive units in 2012-13.

Despite all the player movement and roster restructuring of this offseason, the landscape remains surprisingly familiar on the defensive front.

While top-10 finishers like the Indiana Pacers, Memphis Grizzlies and Philadelphia 76ers all get honorable mentions, they will not finish in the top three. At least two familiar squads do make the cut, but the third spot is definitely up for grabs.
