We're into the fourth round at the 2012 US Open.

The first week has finished (or the second week has started, if we're going to be technically correct) and both the men's and women's draws are seriously starting to heat up.

All the big names in both tournaments are still there, with the likes of Serena Williams, Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer all starting to play their best tennis and make a serious challenge for another Grand Slam crown.

Here's a look at all the action from Sunday—Day 7 of the US Open.

Notable Winners from Day 7

Novak Djokovic, Juan Martin Del Potro, Richard Gasquet, Janko Tipsarevic and Stanislas Wawrinka were all notable winners from Sunday's action—running out straight-sets winners in their respective matches.

Andy Roddick also won through in four sets over Fabio Fognini, whilst No. 4 seed David Ferrer saw off Australian Lleyton Hewitt in four sets.

Reigning US Open champion Samantha Stosur also booked her place in the quarterfinals—defeating Great Britain's Laura Robson 6-4, 6-4.

 Notable Losers from Day 7

Whilst there were no big-name players that made an exit from the tournament on Day 7, there were still plenty of well-known players who were eliminated from the competition, all of whom came from the men's draw.

Seeded players such as Julien Benneteau and Alexandr Dolgopolov both lost their respective matches, with Benneteau losing to Djokovic and Dolgopolov losing to Gasquet in straight sets.

Live Scores not Mentioned Here

At the time of writing this article, three matches were either underway or had not yet been played—all three from the women's tournament.

Petra Kvitova and Marion Bartoli were in the first set, with Kvitova up a break, whilst Maria Sharapova and Victoria Azarenka were yet to play their respective matches against Nadia Petrova and Anna Tatishviili.

Matches to Look out for on Day 8

Several quarterfinal berths are up for the taking on Day 8 of the 2012 US Open with plenty of big-name matches bound to provide for some fascinating viewing.

Roger Federer and Serena Williams headline the acts, with both looking to win their fourth-round matches to progress through to the final eight of the competition.

Olympic gold medalist Andy Murray is up against big-serving Canadian Milos Raonic for a place in the quarterfinals—a match that is looming as a definite upset chance for Raonic and a danger opponent for Murray.

Elsewhere, No. 6 seed Tomas Berdych will take on No. 11 seed Nicolas Almagro; No. 2 seed Agnieszka Radwanska will meet Roberta Vinci; and tennis glamor Ana Ivanovic will try to book her place in the final eight of the tournament.
