Washington vs. New Orleans: Week 1 Preview and Predictions

If there was ever a team that had a chip on its shoulder, it's the New Orleans Saints. The Saints are hoping to put the offseason "Bounty-Gate" nightmare behind them. They still have one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL in Drew Brees and a much improved defense. The good people in New Orleans need something to finally cheer about and hopefully for them, a Saints win will help them forget about their offseason blues.

For the Redskins, the RGIII era officially begins on Sunday. There will be great pressure on Mike Shannahan to finally win. This could be his last year as head coach in D.C. unless he can turn the Skins around. He has one of the most dynamic quarterbacks to enter the NFL in years. Outside of Griffin, however, there's not a lot of scary weapons on the Redskins offense. Jim Haslett has built a strong front seven in Washington, so if nothing else, the Redskins should be able to stay close with the Saints.
