According to Yahoo Sports, Dwayne Wade’s band-aids have been banned by the NBA. Wade’s band-aids have been so popular that it is his fashion signature for his face. They also have a new funky-fresh name for his band-aids: Band-Wade.

These so-called Band-Wades were banned according to NBA spokesman, Tim Frank:

“We spoke to the Heat. A player can wear a Band-Aid for health care purposes, but it shouldn’t have any name or identifications on it.”

Dress codes can get freaky in a way. In a February issue of ESPN The Magazine, the NBA has had a very strict dress code. Nowadays, players have to wear nice tuxedos, not all the fancy things.

“We offered clarity to them,” Frank said. “You can’t wear an identifiable Band-Aid. We don’t expect it to be an issue, so there will be no need for a penalty.”

I hope not.
