Andy Murray is one of many of tennis' top stars who have successfully advanced to the fourth round of the 2012 US Open in New York.

Even though many of the top seeds have avoided being upset, stars like Jo-Wilfried Tsonga have not been as fortunate, and had their tournament run ended early.

Let's look at the best men's players whose Grand Slam hopes are still alive in the fourth round.

Roger Federer

The Swiss star easily defeated Fernando Verdasco of Spain in the third round in straight sets to advance to the fourth round, where he will have his first real test against American Mardy Fish.

Fish is one of the best American players at the tournament, and against a top player such as Federer, he will have the full support of the crowd in New York.

It would be very surprising if Fish were to upset Federer, who has been unstoppable at the US Open thus far. He hasn't dropped a set yet through three matches.

3rd Round Score: Federer defeats Verdasco 6-3, 6-4, 6-4

Andy Murray

The British star will face Canadian sensation Milos Raonic in the fourth round. Murray has looked beatable at the US Open, evidenced by the fact he needed four sets to eliminate Feliciano Lopez in the third round. All three of his set victories came in tie-breakers.

Raonic was impressive in his straight-set victory over American James Blake in the third round, and will be looking for a signature Grand Slam win against a top player in Murray.

Raonic will give Murray a real challenge, but it would be surprising if the Canadian upset him.

3rd Round Score: Murray defeats Lopez 7-6, 7-6, 4-6, 7-6

Tomas Berdych

After losing the first set of his third round match to American Sam Querrey, Tomas Berdych was able to win the next three to secure a spot in the fourth round.

Berdych will face Spanish star Nicolas Almagro in the next round, who will be a tough opponent for him. Almagro has needed at least four sets in his three victories at the US Open thus far, but his never-give-up attitude will benefit him against a strong opponent in Berdych.

Expect Berdych to make the quarterfinal with a win against Almagro in a very close, competitive match.

3rd Round Score: Berdych defeats Querrey 6-7, 6-4, 6-3, 6-2
