You know what can’t feel good? Having your skull come into contact with a helmet unexpectedly. I mean, that can’t be all that pleasant.

Luckily, all college football players wear helmets, and the new helmet rules have been put into place to hopefully eliminate this potential run-in altogether.

What about the refs, though?

Here’s a Georgia player accidentally helmet-butting a referee during the Dawgs' tussle against Buffalo. As expected, the ref crumbles to the ground. Not the best way to start a season, and we hope he’s OK.

No word on whether he had to sit out the next play.
