As a coach in Madden 13 connected careers, you get to assume all aspects of running a franchise. There is perhaps no better way to build for the future than acquiring young, exciting players that have tons of talent and even more room to grow.
While you can do that through the draft, the option of trading is far more intriguing, especially for coaches that want to boost their team in the first season.
Let’s take a look at a few players you should target that have a lot of upside and can be a part of your roster for years to come.
QB – Cam Newton
Not only is Cam Newton perhaps the best second-year QB, he’s easily one of the most fun players in the entire game.
Because of his elite rushing skills and cannon arm, you can always create big plays when the former Heisman winner is under center.
Just like in real life, Newton is going to put up a ton of points and be one of the more exciting players in the league, so you should definitely add him to your program.
RB – Trent Richardson
The third-overall pick out of Alabama has yet to step on an NFL football field for a meaningful game, but he’s got so much potential that you’ll want him on your Madden ‘chise.
He’s a straight bruiser that has solid speed and agility, a rare combination for a RB in the modern NFL. Most teams employ two backs that specialize in speed and one in power, but Richardson brings both to the table.
Expect the former Crimson Tide star to be a great addition to any squad without an elite rusher in Madden.
CB – Patrick Peterson
Peterson is a dual-threat playmaker that can impact a game on both defense and special teams. Why wouldn’t you want a guy that can not only return interceptions for touchdowns, but is a threat to score on every kickoff and punt return?
He’s just 22-years-old and has a long and fruitful career ahead of him at a position that doesn’t see a talent of his caliber come along too often.
Make sure you hit up the Arizona Cardinals to swing a deal for the former LSU Tiger.
