UPDATE, 4:40 p.m. ET: Spurs have announced the signing on their website. Here's the link.
Tottenham Hotspur have signed France international goalkeeper and captain Hugo Lloris from Lyon, according to Sky Sports.
Lloris, 25, captained France at Euro 2012. Les Bleus lost to Spain in the quarterfinals.
He joined Lyon in 2008 from Nice.
The fee is reportedly £8 million. It could rise to £12 million based on incentives.
ESPN FC is reporting that both Lloris and Clint Dempsey have signed for Spurs. We're still awaiting official confirmation from the club.
In other breaking news, Aston Villa have signed Christian Benteke from Genk. Also, West Ham are close to re-signing Yossi Benayoun on loan. The Israeli midfielder left the club in 2007.
87% - Of players to score four or more goals last season, Yossi Benayoun had the best shooting accuracy in the Premier League. Sharp.
