Georgia failed to clinch an SEC title with Stafford and Moreno at the helm, but there is no doubt the Bulldogs can win a championship even without the big names.

2002 and 2005, which were Mark Richt's SEC titles with Georgia, featured "rebuilding" teams with no name skill position players, but tons of passion and pride.

I believe Georgia's lineup this season features tons of talent, and now without all of the huge expectations, something to prove.

So here is a slideshow look at each position for Georgia football in 2009.

Quarterback

Joe Cox (RS Sr)- The fifth year senior has plenty of talent, and a chip on his shoulder. Remember he was supposed to be "the guy" before Stafford arrived.

Aaron Murray (Fr)- Murray's stock dropped when he broke his leg in his final year at Plant high school, but we cannot forget how highly rated he has been for the past few years.

Logan Gray (RS So)- Gray played special teams all of last year...and hes a quarterback. Coaches claim he is way too talented to leave off the field.

Other notables: Zac Mettenberger (Fr)

Tailback

Caleb King (RS So)- King was well known in Athens even before we knew Knowshon was actually a name and not a joke. He has a great slashing running style, but there is question in his ability to hit the hole.

Richard Samuel (So)- Samuel hit the field early and often last year as a returner. He combines a violent downhill running style with some crazy athleticism. Samuel has become notorious for causing stoppage in a high school game so the refs could tell him to stop hitting so hard.

Dontavius Jackson (RS Fr)- Jackson has plenty of talent, but was left in the fridge last season due to the depth at tailback. Do not be suprised if this guy ends up starting before his time at Georgia ends.

Carlton Thomas (RS Fr)- Thomas is tiny, but is incredibly quick and explosive. He is a home run ball every time he hits the field.

Washaun Ealy (FR)- Ealy was a record breaking machine in Georgia in his senior year of high school. He is a complete package of speed and toughness. Expect him to get a redshirt however with all of the talent in the backfield.

Other notables: Kalvin Daniels (Jr)

Fullback

ATHENS, GA - NOVEMBER 29: Fullback Shaun Chapas #49 of the Georgia Bulldogs runs upfield as teammate and offensive lineman Cordy Glenn watches during the game against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at Sanford Stadium on November 29, 2008 in Athens, Geor

Shaun Chapas (RS Jr)- Chapas was a valuable part of Georgia's offense as a blocker and even more as a pass catcher. He is no doubt following in the footsteps of the great fullbacks at Georgia. He may even end up being the best weve had.

Other notables: Fred Munzenmaier (RS So)

Receivers

LEXINGTON, KY - NOVEMBER 8: A.J. Green #8 of the Georgia Bulldogs runs with the ball during the game against the Kentucky Wildcats at Commonwealth Stadium on November 8, 2008 in Lexington, Kentucky. (Photo by Andy Lyons/Getty Images)

A.J. Green (So)- Green nearly broke 1,000 yards receiving last year with a bad leg and freshman nerves. There is no doubt this 6-4, 205 pound (he actually is 205 this time, unlike last year where he was likely 190 soaking wet) is primed to have an All-SEC season.

Marlon Brown (Fr)- There was question as to how Green would function without Massaquoi helping on the other side. Marlon Brown is in the answer. He will only be a freshman, but Brown is a super star type athlete and has the frame and tools that will make NFL scouts tremble at the knees.

Michael Moore (Sr)- Moore came on last season as a very reliable slot receiver. He has great hands and no fear of making plays down the middle. Good enough to be a starter, but he should thrive in the middle with Green and Brown on the flanks.

Tavares King (So)- King comes in as a sophmore after making just one catch last year. King has playmaking potential, and in Georgia's offense should see the field plenty.

Other notables: Israel Troupe (RS So), Kris Durham (SR), Tony Wilson (RS Jr)

Tight End

Aaron White (RS So)- White is one of those receiver/tight end hybrids. He has potential as a pass catcher, and would fit in well with Georgia's evolving offense.

Bruce Figgins (Jr)- The opposite of White, Figgins is a big bruiser and blocker. He has just one catch in his three years.

Arthur Lynch (Fr)- Lynch will have a very real chance at starting as a true freshman. Georgia's tight end position as of now is wide open.

Offensive Line

ATHENS, GA - SEPTEMBER 29: Tackle Trinton Sturdivant #77 of the Georgia Bulldogs sets to block against the Mississippi Rebels at Sanford Stadium on September 29, 2007 in Athens, Georgia. Georgia won 45 - 17. (Photo by Al Messerschmidt/Getty Images)

Trinton Sturdivant (RS So)- Sturdivant will be returning from a devastating knee injury from last year. Sturdivant was an Freshman All-SEC performer in 2007.

Clint Boling (Jr)- Boling, who played very well in 2007 along with Sturdivant, was also hampered with injuries last season. Expect his and Sturdivant's return to refuel Georgia's pass blocking.

Ben Jones (So)- Jones started at center last season as a true freshman. He is a solid player up front, and should do well with experience, and experience around him.

Chris Davis (RS Jr)- Davis had to play at guard and center last season for Georgia. His had work from last year may land him a starting spot this year.

Vince Vance (Sr)- Another player who played multiple positions, Vance is an imposing prospect at 6-8, and is coming into his senior year.

Other notables: Josh Davis (RS Jr), Justin Anderson (RS So), Cordy Glenn (So), AJ Harmon (So)

Defensive End

ATHENS, GA - OCTOBER 11: Roderick Battle #41 of the Georgia Bulldogs moves onfield during the game against the Tennessee Volunteers at Sanford Stadium on October 11, 2008 in Athens, Georgia. (Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images)

Roderick Battle (Sr)- Battle struggled with injuries last year, however he will be the most experienced defensive end on Georgia's young and reeling group of d-ends.

Demarcus Dobbs (RS Jr)- Dobbs struggled last season in limited play, but in a thin line of defensive ends the Dawgs have to rely on this guy to pull through.

Justin Houston (RS So)- Houston came in as a linebacker for the Dawgs, but switched last season to end to help with lack of depth. Expect Houston to stay on the defensive line now that Jarius Wynn and Jeremy Lomax are gone.

Neland Ball (RS So)- Ball has not played a down at Georgia yet, but at 6-6 he apparently has plenty of talent and athletcism. He came into Georgia a tad lanky and suffered injuries last year, but apparently has worked very hard and is primed for success.

Other notables: Cornelius Washington (So?)

Defensive Tackle

ATHENS, GA - SEPTEMBER 29: Defensive tackle Jeff Owens #95 of the Georgia Bulldogs sets for play against the Mississippi Rebels at Sanford Stadium on September 29, 2007 in Athens, Georgia. Georgia won 45 - 17. (Photo by Al Messerschmidt/Getty Images)

Jeff Owens (RS Sr)- Owens suffered a season ended knee injury last year, but thankfully is returning to finish what he started at Georgia. Owens was an All-SEC performer and brings leadership and passion to the entire defense.

Geno Atkins (Sr)- Atkins quietly built himself into a first or second round projection for this years NFL draft, but instead big Geno is returning to play his senior year at Georgia. Georgia will have one of the best defensive interiors in the SEC.

Other notables: DeAngelo Tyson (So), Kade Weston (Sr)

Linebackers

ATHENS, GA - OCTOBER 11: Rennie Curran #35 of the Georgia Bulldogs tackles Arian Foster #27 of the Tennessee Volunteers for a loss on third down during the game at Sanford Stadium on October 11, 2008 in Athens, Georgia. (Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Imag

Rennie Curran (Jr)- Curran is one of the best linebackers in the country. What he lacks in size, he makes up with athletic ability and effort. Expect him to have an All-American type season.

Darryl Gamble (RS Jr)- Gamble put himself on the map with two pick sixes against LSU last season. Gamble has size and speed, and can play outside or inside linebacker.

Akeem Dent (RS Jr)- Dent has been a solid starter at linebacker for part of 2007 and into 2008. You wont find him on any highlight reels, but I dont think coaches will mind starting him this year.

Other notables: Charles White, Akeem Hebron, Marcus Dowtin,

Cornerback

ORLANDO, FL - JANUARY 04: Cornerback Branden Smith #1 of the white team plays defense in the All America Under Armour Football Game at Florida Citrus Bowl on January 4, 2009 in Orlando, Florida. (Photo by Doug Benc/Getty Images)

Prince Miller (Sr)- With Asher Allen leaving, Miller will be the number one corner on Georgia's defense. Miller is small at 5-8, but he plays the ball very well in the air and has great speed.

Branden Smith (Fr)- I put Smith, who is a lanky 5-11 175 pound freshman, on this list because Georgia was god awful at corner last year behind Miller and Allen. Smith features great speed, and might play special teams and offense next year.

Bryan Evans (Sr)- Evans may be experienced, but he got picked on time and time again last year. I dont know if the coaches are going to give him the nod at corner right away. Evans has 4.3 speed, but seems to bite on just about everything. He is a hit and miss type of player.

Other notables: Brandon Boykin, Vance Cuff

Safeties

ATHENS, GA - OCTOBER 11: Reshad Jones #9 of the Georgia Bulldogs gets ready on field during the game against the Tennessee Volunteers at Sanford Stadium on October 11, 2008 in Athens, Georgia. (Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images)

Reshad Jones (RS Jr)- Jones is a sturdy NFL prospect and a frightening guy you dont want to have hunting you down.

Jones has above average athletcism and was the most consistent player in Georgia's defense last year. He makes more plays on the run than in pass coverage, but did have 5 interceptions last year.

His only knock is his tendency to try to knock the brains out of people rather than tackling... Georgia Tech's Roddy Jones can agree with that.

Quintin Banks (RS Jr)- With CJ Byrd gone, Georgia will rely on Quintin Banks to take over at safety. Banks has not seen the field much at all, but according to coaches has potential to be a great safety.

Kicking/Punting

ATHENS, GA - OCTOBER 11: Blair Walsh #57 of the Georgia Bulldogs kicks a field goal during the game against the Tennessee Volunteers at Sanford Stadium on October 11, 2008 in Athens, Georgia. (Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images)

Blair Walsh (So)- Walsh had an on and off year last season. He made alot of really long, meaningless, kicks...and did a good job at missing some important ones. We can only hope Walsh is going to improve over the next few years.

Drew Butler (RS So)- Butler, son of long time great Kevin Butler, was Georgia's designated pooch punter last year. However, with Brian Mimbs graduating, Butler will begin the major punting role.
