Michigan vs. Alabama: Live Score, Analysis and Results
Alabama 41, Michigan 14 -- Final
And all the anticipation is finally over as No. 8 Michigan and No. 2 and defending national champion Alabama are underway at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.
What more could be said about Alabama's win? The Tide were clearly too much for Michigan.

Amidst all the Alabama-dominated stats, Michigan's Jeremy Gallon had a decent night, finishing with 107 yards receiving on four catches. Of course, one of those was a 71-yard bomb from Robinson.
Michigan's Dennis Norfleet had 174 kick return yards. He saw a ton of action, returning eight kicks on the night.

Again, I'd like to thank the nearly 20,000 B/R readers who followed the blog. I'll see you next weekend.
I'd like to thank the nearly 20,000 B/R readers who followed my live blog. It was a great time.
Here are the final game stats. I'll go through the comments and try to respond to all of them... tomorrow. This game took a lot out of me.
Oh, AJ McCarron's suit looked like a bad '90s movie tux.

Man, I was going to write something witty about the block in the back. But then I decided against it.
How big of a smile does Herbie have on his face right now?
Alabama has now put a group of high school kids on the field.
Quinton Dial just wanted to introduce himself to Denard Robinson. Nothing more than that.
Denard has hit the Cowboys turf nearly as much as Tony Romo.
TJ Yeldon has been the most impressive player of the game. But don't forget how the Tide O-Line has dominated this game. And the D-Line. And the 'Bama waterboys. And the guys who charge head set batteries.
Note to self: When defending pass, must at least look at ball. #JTFloydThoughts
Ref somewhat resembles President Obama, kind of sounds like him, too.
I'm wondering how much Fitz Toussaint's absence affected Michigan's offensive game plan. Doesn't seem like coaching staff had much confidence in sophomore Thomas Rawls.

So... Jeremy Gallon isn't afraid to field a punt after all.
Dee Hart. How many Michigan fans remember that name?
'Bama is letting its third-deep kid do damage. NO need for Lacy or Yeldon.
Best believe the bookies are looking for Floyd Mayweather after tonight's game.
The Grand Rapids native reportedly bet $3 million on the Wolverines. He probably took the points. Amidst all his legal trouble, it amazes me that he has an extra $3 million to gamble with.
Cade Foster nails a 51-yard field goal, giving Tide a commanding 34-7 lead. Never. In. Doubt.
Hit on Denard: Cheap. Cheap. Cheap.
Denard Robinson is trying to make things happen for Michigan.

Denard Robinson looks like he wants to turn on the jets, but he can't find a lane.
Musburger brought up the whole Denard vs. Bolt race thing.... Here's Adam Hirshfield's take on the matter. So much analysis went into Hirshfield's piece. I suggest you read it.
AJ McCarron just jogged, slid and thought to himself: "I'm glad Michigan doesn't hit like my guys hit."
Let's just skip the second half and lobby ABC to play the "Meet the Heismans" commercial for the next two hours.
What do you say to your team when it's down 31-7 at halftime to the defending national champion?
Former Alabama star Mark Ingram is probably loving this game.

From former Alabama star Mark Ingram's Twitter (right before Denard Robinson's 71-yard pass to Jeremy Gallon, I believe).
U can clearly see the difference between these two teams. Michigan wasn't ready for that pressure!! #RollTide
As stated by me earlier, and ESPN's Jesse Palmer during halftime, Alabama can succeed and win this game even if AJ McCarron doesn't throw another ball.
McCarron was 8-of-15 in the first half, good for 140 yards and two scores.
Alabama is head hunting.

Biggest surprise of the first half?
Michigan's Denard Robinson rushed for just nine yards in first half.
Alabama 31 , Michigan 7 -- halftime
Christion Jones threw a monster block on Michigan senior linebacker Kenny Demens. Wow.

Denard Robinson to Jeremy Gallon on a 71-yard bomb.
Herbstreit says Gallon could be best WR on Michigan roster. Well, hard to choose from that group today.
Alabama's CJ Mosley ices this game with a pick-6... Denard Robinson just can't get into a rhythm and Alabama is making this game look all too easy.
Michigan wanted no part of that return, so it will start on its own one-foot line down 24-0 with 5:23 to play in second quarter.
Greg McElroy is trying his best to be polite and not laugh when answering questions about this game. Seriously.
