Well it is that time of the year. Players get tagged, traded, released, and teams scramble to rebuild themselves to bring home "The Precious." Let us look and see what big news has transpired early in this period of NFL offseason.

Cowboys Trade Henry

Just now the Dallas Cowboys have traded CB Anthony Henry to the Detroit Lions for QB Jon Kitna. Henry was the second CB on the Dallas squad behind Terrence Newman and was looking to be playing safety for Dallas in the next few years. On the other hand Kitna surprisingly still has a job, but if we look at the bright side of things, Dallas now has a back up quarterback that can throw the ball further than three yards out.

Skins Spend Cash on Haynesworth

The Washington Redskins shelled out big money to DT Albert Haynesworth, formerly a Tennessee Titan. The seven year pro signed a seven-year, $100 million contract to play for the Redskins. This includes an NFL record $41 million in guaranteed money. Fortunately for the Titans they were able to resign Kerry Collins to a two-year, $15 million contract.

Dawkins Flies Away From Philly

Safety Brian Dawkins has now gone from Philly to Denver where he has signed a five-year deal. Tight end Kellen Winslow is now in Tampa Bay, who traded draft picks for the TE to Cleveland.

And that is just half of it, still big names have yet to relocate like WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh, who has stated he would like to be an Eagle this coming season. We shall see what big moves come next.
