US Open Tennis 2012 Schedule: Full Preview for Upcoming Action

With the US Open well underway and the long-shot qualifying players starting to dwindle, it is no surprise that the upcoming lineups will be magnetizing.

This year, there is a void that could be filled by a player outside of the big three, which shakes up the play and intensifies the action considerably.

On the women's side, there was already a huge disappointment for Caroline Wozniaki, who was ousted in the first round by 96th-ranked Romanian Begu. Wozniaki will be pushed outside the top-10, while her past rivals—the Williams twins—advanced.

Flushing Meadows is certainly a hotspot this weekend for avid tennis fans, while fans who cannot make the journey will be glued to their TV sets.

Here are four matches that I believe will be worth watching for the upcoming weekend.
