Only one Super Bowl championship team has repeated since the dawn of the new millennium. Could the New York Giants become the second?
The Giants return with their NFC East-winning squad virtually intact. While Brandon Jacobs has moved out West to San Francisco, his former employer has replaced him with rookie David Wilson, who has enjoyed a good preseason. Receiver Mario Manningham, who made that big catch in last year's big game, will almost be an afterthought after the record-setting season Victor Cruz had last year.
On defense, the Giants are as strong as ever, starting with that terrific pass rush from Justin Tuck, Osi Umenyiora and Jason Pierre-Paul. And if Steve Weatherford would stop running for the first-down marker of his own volition, Tom Coughlin's team could expect to make another run at the postseason.
