Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheerleaders Start Up Republican National Convention
The Republican National Convention took place this week, so obviously the Tampa Bay Buccaneers cheerleaders were there.
This video (h/t Guyism, NBC Sports) comes from Thursday morning's edition of Fox and Friends, and you would need a tremendous box to pack away all the giddiness.
You would think that this sort of video that ends with the squad dancing to the song "Start Me Up" would be rather straightforward, but there is a ton going on here.
First off, Brian Killmeade starts the interview with captain Lauren Spires with the cutting observation that the ladies are "fit."
Yes, Brian. I happened to notice that point as well.
The discussion then descends into the usual banter that cheerleaders need to be in the greatest shape to dance in nearly 100-degree heat, no easy task.
But the best part of this video, and one that I really need some confirmation about from some of you who may be informed, is what Spires states what the security guards around the convention look like.
Apparently, they look like Ghostbusters.
Bwhaa?
How is there no follow-up footage with some security personnel in brown jumpsuits with official proton packs strapped to their backs?
Do they look more like Egon Spengler or Winston Zeddmore? I simply have to know.
