Detroit Lions Add Another First Round Wideout

Nick AverillContributor IFebruary 28, 2009

The Lions have just come to terms with free-agent, wide receiver Bryant Johnson.

Last year, Johnson started in San Fransisco along side Issac Bruce. He was drafted in the first round in 2003 out of Penn State, but Anquan Boldin overshadowed him in their rookie season.

The contract is three years for $9 million.

This makes it seem like the Lions will not sign Nate Washington after signing a wide receiver in free agency.

I would now expect them to target a cornerback in this free-agency period.
