The Denver Broncos have officially announced the signing of former Philadelphia Eagles safety Brian Dawkins.

The rumors of Dawkins' signing in Denver had all been unconfirmed, but now the Denver Broncos official website is announcing the signing.

A press conference will be held at the Broncos' facility in Dove Valley, Colorado at 1:30 PM MST (3:30 EST) to introduce Dawkins to the Denver media. The video will not be streamed live, but will be posted to the website as soon as possible.

In addition, a Broncos reporter will sit down for a one-on-one interview with the five time all-pro safety immediately after the press conference.

Terms of the deal have not been announced as of now, but are expected to be in the neighborhood of four to five years, and around $20 million.

This signing is the seventh that the Broncos have made in the past 30 hours, and Dawkins joins running back Correll Buckhalter as the second former Eagle that will be donning a Broncos uniform in 2009.

Stay tuned in to the Denver Broncos community for more updates as we welcome the man who will be the true leader on defense that the Broncos have lacked since the departure of linebacker Al Wilson.
