Tiger's Back! Aaaaand Now He's Gone...

Tony ArnoldineCorrespondent IFebruary 27, 2009

I don't know if you had heard, but some guy named Tiger Woods returned to golf at this week's Accenture Match Play Championship. He beat Brendan Jones in the first round of the tournament and everything looked to be right on track for golf's golden boy.

But today he lost to South African Tim Clark.

Now we can't be too hard on Woods, who hadn't played competitive golf in eight months, but we can be hard on the networks and people who acted as though Jesus Christ was going to walk on water on live television with Woods' return.

That obviously didn't happen but, as we all can guess, in time Tiger will return to his dominating form. He'll have two weeks to shake off the "ring rust" before the CA Championship at Doral.
