A few names from The Expendables films have appeared on WWE programming over the years, from Sylvester Stallone to Arnold Schwarzenegger. Now, it looks like one more will be added to the list.

If you have seen the new Expendables 2 film, then you probably know Terry Crews as the guy who does not want to give Arnold his gun.

Terry Crews is a former NFL defensive end, playing for such teams as the Rams, Chargers, Redskins and Eagles in a career which saw him play for seven seasons.

Following his football career, Crews has made a name for himself in Hollywood in both comedic and action roles.

Television fans may know him as the dad from the show Everybody Hates Chris and film fans may know him as President Camacho from Idiocracy or the guy singing "Everyone's Watching" by Loverboy in the Adam Sandler vehicle Click.

It no looks like Crews could be making an appearance with WWE sometime in the near future. Crews sent out the following messages from his official Twitter.

How would everybody feel about me beating the living snot out of your favorite @WWE stars? Hmmmm…

I’m talking to the WWE about doing somethings. I love the energy and excitement and the live component. It’s theater on a grand scale!

Crews is one of the few celebrities who might fit right in with the WWE crowd.

He is a buff former football player who has a size advantage on most of the superstars in WWE and he is also well known to audiences for his comedic personality and over-the-top performances.

Even if the role does not end up being in a match, he could still be one of the few celebrities to really break through to the WWE audience.

Big names have tried to come on WWE programming in the past and they were met with boos or crickets, but Crews could actually appeal to WWE fans.

His time in the NFL makes him a legitimate athlete who could throw down with WWE superstars and his movie and TV roles have made him a recognizable face in the industry.

I, for one, would be very excited to see Crews in WWE for an appearance because I know whatever they have him doing will end up being pretty entertaining.

If you are not familiar with Terry Crews comedic work then I highly suggest you watch Idiocracy. It may not be the best movie in the world, but Crews makes it so much better as an dumb, patriotic president.
