George Mason Goes for Home Perfection

Chris BrooksCorrespondent IFebruary 28, 2009

Saturday night's home finale at the Patriot Center will see Mason Nation bid farewell to four seniors. On top of that, the fans will watch the men's team attempt to beat Towson.

What will this win mean?

With a win, George Mason (19-9, 12-5 CAA) guarantees themselves at least a No. 3 seed in next weekend's CAA Tournament. With a Northeastern loss—along with a Mason win—the Patriots would secure the No. 2 seed in next weekend's CAA Tournament.

What else happens if Mason wins Saturday?

A perfect 14-0 home stand this season.

No Mason team has ever gone perfect at home in a single season, allowing this team the opportunity to attempt history at the Patriot Center.

The game is close to sold out already, and the fans believe in this team. Tip-off is set for 8 PM and can be seen on MASN.
