Due to the threat of Hurricane Isaac, this Thursday's football game, scheduled to be played at Independence Stadium, between Texas A&M and Louisiana Tech has been postponed until Oct. 13.

Louisiana Tech tweeted the news:

For the safety of fans and student-athletes, Louisiana Tech's game vs. Texas A&M has been postponed until Oct. 13. #LATechSports

This was supposed to be the opening game for both teams. Fortunately, in regard to the small scope of football, the date of Oct. 13 was vacant on each school's calendar, so there should be no need for additional changes to the schedule.
