USC vs. Hawaii: Previewing Trojans' Week 1 Showdown Against the Warriors

Michael FelderNational CFB Lead WriterOctober 25, 2016

The Trojans, for the second time in three seasons, are kicking off the season with the Hawaii Warriors. This is a contest USC should win, and for the Trojans to march to the BCS Championship they desire, winning it in convincing fashion would be a great start. While this game isn't a true blockbuster to kick off the year, we can still learn plenty about the University of Southern California from its opening contest.

There are several questions that Lane Kiffin and his team will get to answer early:

What will we see from Robert Woods?
Is Silas Redd truly their answer at running back?
What are we looking for out of the defensive line?

This game is going to be interesting for those reasons, and if you are a USC fan, getting your answers should be job one. While the march to a title started long ago with the players' hard work, the 2012 season finally will show their progress; starting Saturday against Hawaii.
