Detroit and Maurice Morris Agree To Terms

Nick AverillContributor IFebruary 27, 2009

The Detroit Lions, and running back Maurice Morris have come to terms on a contract. The terms have been reported to be three years, and paying $7 million dollars.

He will provide a good change of pace to go along with Kevin Smith in our backfield. He was an excellent compliment to Shaun Alexander in his days with the Seahawks. This year though he did prove he could not carry the load by himself for the year.

Also, Nate Washington has apparently left Allen Park but his agent says he still remain very interested in the Detroit Lions. Derrick Dockery also arrived in Detroit this afternoon and is also expected to be offered a contract. Other visits coming up consist of Mike Clayton, and maybe Reggie Williams.
