Philadelphia Eagles

UPDATE: Dawkins Signs In Denver

Jeff DanzigerCorrespondent IFebruary 27, 2009

UPDATE: Dawkins signed with the Denver Broncos on Saturday to a five year deal. The deal is worth $17 million, but with incentives the deal could be potentially worth $27 million.

UPDATE: David White, the reporter fron the San Francisco Chronicle who intiailly reported the Dawkins news, said that he never said Dawkins signed a contract. He said that Dawkins had on "agreed to terms", and is not bound. The poor wording caused mass hysteria in Eagles nation, but they should't relax yet. It is still possible that Dawkins still goes to Denver.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Dawkins signed a two year deal and a press conference to announce the signing has been set for tomorrow.

Philadelphia is burning to the ground as we speak.

But wait! Just moments after this report came out, reported that the Broncos signed saftey Renaldo Hill to a 4-year, $10 million contract.

Confusing isn't it? Something's fishy. It is highly unlikely that the Denver Broncos signed two starting Safeties within the hour.

Saty tuned as the stories unfold.
