In breaking news from the Denver Broncos insider Adam Schefter, Brian Dawkins is on his way to Denver to meet with Broncos' brass. Once there, he will contact Andy Reid and see if the Eagles will make a counter offer.

Denver has been in need of a great starting safety since John Lynch was released last preseason.

Dawkins is a top-tier safety and would bring leadership and great play to Denver, whose defense is in need of help.

If Dawkins signs with Denver, he will join Champ Bailey as perennial Pro Bowlers to suit up for the Broncos. If D.J. Williams continues to grow, Denver could have a stellar defense in the near future.
