FULL TIME: LIVERPOOL 2, MANCHESTER CITY 2
The teams share the points, and that's probably the right result. City were fortunate to get their equalizer, but on the balance of things, they just about created enough to deserve a draw. Either way, it's more drama for the defending champs.
It's a decent result for Liverpool after their awful start last week. They'll be disappointed with the draw, and a win wouldn't necessarily have flattered them. But they just didn't do enough defensively.
Stick with B/R all day for full reaction…
90+4
Liverpool's Joe Allen shoots high and wide from long distance.
That's gonna do it.

Tevez volleys a shot wide.

Kolo Toure heads away Shelvey's curling shot from the left. Corner for Liverpool, which causes all kinds of confusion in the City box.
Suarez has a shot blocked, then Carroll's looping header is cleared off the line by Rodwell.
86'—MISS!
Dzeko latches onto a cross but flips his first-time shot over the bar.
Should have at least hit the target.
84'—LIVERPOOL SUB
Andy Carroll replaces Fabio Borini.
Can Liverpool's outcast striker make the difference?

82'—SHOT!
Gerrard tees up Shelvey just outside the Man City box. Shelvey hits a firecracker at the top corner, but it sails just high.
What a strike.
81'—LIV 2, MC 2
What's next in this one? Can City find an unlikely winner?
80'—GOAL CITY!
Skrtel makes a disastrous back-pass, which Tevez intercepts and slots past Reina.
Awful.

77'—WASTE!
Edin Dzeko blasts the ball over the goal.
Was that a cross or a shot?
76'—CITY SUB

72'—LIV 2, MC 1
Glen Johnson bursts into the City box and falls under Kolarov's challenge. No whistle. Whew!
This game has really exploded to life now. Anyone else have a feeling the scoring isn't done?
Tweet, Tweet
2 - Man City have conceded 2+ goals for three PL games in succession for the first time since October 2010. Leaky.

Great free-kick from Suarez. Joe Hart may wonder if he could have moved quicker. Was he making silly faces at Suarez before he hit it?

…
Poor organisation. Wall has to be set at least one man over the line of the near post. Suarez found the gap superbly, but very preventable.

MORE ON THE GOAL
Suarez bends the ball around the outside of the wall and deposits the ball into the net low at the near post.
Gorgeous. And a perfect response.
66'—GOAL LIVERPOOL!
Suarez puts Liverpool back ahead with a free kick!

MORE ON THE GOAL
Carlos Tevez dribbles to the byline on the right and crosses into the middle. Pepe Reina misses the cross and Martin Kelly lets the ball bounce off him right into the path of Yaya Toure.
Toure passes the ball into the net from close range.
Awful goal for Liverpool to give up. City had been offering little.
CITY GOAL!
Yaya Toure equalizes!

62'—CITY SUB
Edin Dzeko replaces Mario Balotelli.
Balotelli was out of sorts today. That's the danger with him.
61'—LIV 1, MC 0
Tevez frees Milner with a perfectly timed through-ball…
…except that it's not perfectly timed at all. Milner is offside.
60'—CITY SUB
Samir Nasri makes way for Jack Rodwell, who hears plenty of boos from the Anfield crowd. Rodwell, of course, formerly played for Liverpool's crosstown rivals Everton.

58'—LIV 1, MC 0
Balotelli gets in the way of a Man City clearance, and suddenly Suarez has the ball in the box with options.
Gerrard bounds into the box but breaks off his run right before Suarez plays it where Gerrard would have been.
55'—LIV 1, MC 0
Coates dispossesses Balotelli with a physical challenge. It's getting a bit feisty out there.
Shelvey seems to be fine, by the way.
