There’s one day in the year that most sports fans view like Christmas, and that day is almost upon us.
It’s the day that Madden ’13 comes out, and it is as eagerly anticipated as one’s own newborn child.
A game of Madden can get people as heated as an actual football game, and this year’s release by EA is no exception. With numerous game-play enhancements and graphics even more lifelike than its predecessors, this edition is sure to please and likely to incite a few arguments in living rooms everywhere.
BR5 decided to preview some of the cool new enhancements of the game and to take a look at the four players featured that are designated with a “99” rating. Very few players get the coveted 99, and the ones that do are pretty lethal.
Starting it off is the Green Bay Packers’ Aaron Rodgers.
Rodgers is no stranger to success on the field in real life, so its no surprise he gets the 99 label. If you like passing, then you’ll like Rodgers as your QB.
Next up is Calvin Johnson.
With 16 TD’s and over 1600 yards last year, Megatron is a shoe-in for the 99 rating. But after gracing the Madden cover this year, Detroit fans are probably hoping that he doesn’t inherit the Madden curse as well.
Next in the elite four is the Dallas Cowboys’ DeMarcus Ware.
It seems that DeMarcus is as much of a monster in video games as he is on the field in real life. He is one of the only defenders to get the prestigious 99.
Rounding out the four is the New York Jets’ Darrelle Revis.
Long known as one of the best shutdown corners in the game, Revis is equally impressive in the video game world as well. If you’re a defensive player, you can’t go wrong with Revis.
Now with all the Madden players with a 99 rating released, we can start debating whether or not those ratings are accurate.
