It's still worth debating whether Arron Afflalo, Al Harrington, Nikola Vucevic, Moe Harkless and a bunch of picks was really the best that the Magic could have gotten for D12. However, either way they must now figure out how to develop their young guys quickly while still putting an actual NBA product on the floor.

What role do holdovers like Jameer Nelson, J.J. Redick and Hedo Turkoglu play, especially if they're crowding experience minutes from the youngsters? Is Glen Davis just a place-holder? Or is he an actual building block, especially since rookie Andrew Nicholson is already on board?

How much are the Magic regretting the loss of Stan Van Gundy? Though Jacque Vaughn has the pedigree and personality to be successful, would SVG have been the perfect guy to see this young roster through its toughest year?

We know that better days will come, but is this squad currently due to be plucky competitors or just the league's worst team?
