After a successful offseason rebuilding project, the New York Knicks are an Eastern Conference power once more. However, they'll still only go as far as Carmelo Anthony and Amar'e Stoudemire can carry them.

The two talented, yet ill-fitting forwards have yet to mesh for a consistent stretch. Their season and a half together has been marred by injuries, stagnant offensive possessions and a growing concern that maybe this pairing won't work.

However, they finally have had a full offseason together, and they finally have some coaching stability as well. No one questions their talents, so what needs to be fixed?

NBA assistant editors Ethan Norof and Joel C. Cordes detail the adjustments that head coach Mike Woodson will have to make, along with the game changes needed from Melo and Amar'e.
