Jockey Hurt When Mount Breaks Leg at Saratoga

Jockey Junior Alvarado has been treated at a hospital for abdominal pain after being thrown when his mount, Pete's Parley, fractured his left foreleg and stumbled Monday near the eighth pole in the second race at Saratoga Race Course. The horse was removed from the racetrack in an ambulance van and euthanized.
