Will he stay or will he go?

Wait, wait. First, let's decide who we are talking about.

England international striker Andy Carroll is still a Liverpool player. That could change by the end of the week.

Meanwhile, Italian international midfielder Daniele De Rossi remains with AS Roma. But will he be lured by Manchester City's riches?

Those stories are inside Tuesday's edition of the B/R Transfer Tracker, along with updates on Emmanuel Adebayor, Edin Dzeko, Yann M'Vila, David Silva and Gaston Ramirez.

Read on for all the details.

Ade or Edin to Spurs?

Ade or Edin? Adebayor or Dzeko? Tottenham Hotspur are being linked with two strikers, both of whom are currently on the books at Manchester City.

According to The Sun, Togo international striker Emmanuel Adebayor is nearing a £5 million permanent transfer from City to Spurs after agreeing to take a pay cut. Adebayor, 28, spent last season on loan with Tottenham.

He cost City £25 million from Arsenal in 2009.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mirror reports that Spurs have turned their attention to Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko instead of Adebayor.

Dzeko, 26, joined City from VfL Wolfsburg in 2011 but has struggled for playing time in City's crowded strikeforce.

French midfielder Yann M'Vila, a long-time Arsenal transfer "target," is being linked with the Gunners once again.

ESPN FC reports that Rennes general manager Pierre Dreossi suggested M'Vila could move to Arsenal before the end of the current transfer deadline.

The Gunners recently sold midfielder Alex Song to Barcelona, and M'Vila could be his replacement. M'Vila, 22, is valued around €20 million, with Tottenham Hotspur also thought to be interested.

Liverpool officials want striker Andy Carroll's future decided this week. In potentially doing so, they hope to have time to sign a replacement if he is sold (Daily Mirror).

Carroll sat out Liverpool's season-opening loss at West Brom and is being told he'll stay on the bench if he remains at Anfield.

Carroll's former club, Newcastle United, has been linked with a move, and West Ham had an offer for the England international turned down. Tottenham Hotspur are thought to be showing late interest as well.

De Rossi Staying?

Italian midfielder Daniele De Rossi is expected to announce his intention to stay with AS Roma and pass up a chance to join Manchester City (Metro).

De Rossi, 29, is valued around £30 million by Roma.

In other Manchester City news, Spanish midfielder David Silva is delaying a new contract. Silva, 26, reportedly wants to match the club's top earners around £200,000 per week (Daily Telegraph).

Premiership newcomers Southampton are being linked with an audacious £12 million bid for up-and-coming Uruguayan midfielder Gaston Ramirez (Daily Mirror).

Ramirez, 21, joined Bologna from Peñarol in 2010. He has earned nine senior caps with Uruguay.
