Per Jay Glazer's Twitter account, the Buffalo Bills have released Shawne Merriman.
According to Glazer, the Bills believe that Merriman is better suited to play in a 3-4 defense.
Merriman was acquired by the Bills on November 4, 2010 off of waivers from the San Diego Chargers.
Injuries have plagued Merriman the last few years, but he did have a hand in recruiting Nick Barnett to Buffalo. Unfortunately for Merriman, it's "Lights Out" regarding his time in Buffalo.
What does the release of Shawne Merriman mean to the Bills? It's likely that the Bills feel that Kyle Moore, a former 4th round pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2009, is a better option at defensive end.
