English Premier League: 5 New Signings Who Impressed in Their Debuts
With the start of every English Premier League season, there are predictions on which new signings will turn out to be the best.
Last season, Newcastle's signing of Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse as well the signing of Gylfi Sigurdsson on loan at Swansea were three of the best moves.
Although, it still way too early to tell who will be the top signing of the 2012-13 season, the first week gave fans and clubs alike a chance to see who has the potential to earn that title.
These five players made a big impact in their club's matches this weekend and their performances could be a sign of things to come this season.

While all the attention that Arsenal received this week was over the outgoing transfer of Robin van Persie, one of their incoming players was one of their best players on the pitch.
In Saturday's 0-0 draw with Sunderland, Santi Cazorla showed Gunners fans why he could be their best signing this summer.
The former Malaga midfielder was all over the pitch and created some of the best scoring chances for his club.
Cazorla's best chance of the match was in the 18th minute when he hit a shot wide of the goal.
During the course of the season, the Gunners may have to rely on Cazorla not only for assisting on goals but possibly to provide them himself as well.

Anytime a player can score on his first touch for his club, it is worthy of praise.
That is exactly what Southampton's Steven Davis did on Sunday against Manchester City.
In the 68th minute, Davis scored his first goal for his new club and gave the Saints a one goal lead over the defending champions.
However, Davis' goal was the last bright spot in the match for the newly promoted club as Southampton lost their lead and the match, 3-2.

Michu was the first player to score a goal in the 2012-13 Premier League season.
In the seventh minute of Swansea's 5-0 win over QPR, the Spanish midfielder scored his first of two goals in the match.
If you have never heard of Michu before Saturday, he played last season at Rayo Vallecano in La Liga and scored 17 total goals.
If he continues that type of goal-scoring form, Michu's name will become quite familiar with fans of the Premier League.

Mladen Petric was another player who scored two goals in his debut on Saturday.
Petric scored a pair for Fulham in their 5-0 romp of Norwich City.
The 31-year-old is no stranger to scoring goals, especially under manager Martin Jol, whom he played for at Hamburg for one season.
Petric is a welcome sight to see for Fulham fans as they are looking for someone to fill the void left by the departed Andy Johnson and Bobby Zamora as well as the frustrated Clint Dempsey, who is not playing for the club at the moment.

The most impressive new signing this weekend had to be Chelsea's Eden Hazard.
The Belgian midfielder, who moved to Stamford Bridge from Lille this summer, lived up to all the hype surrounding him in his first EPL match.
Hazard played a part in both of the Blues' goals in their 2-0 away win over Wigan.
First, the 21-year-old assisted on Branislav Ivanovic's second minute goal.
Five minutes later, Hazard drew a penalty which was converted by Chelsea legend Frank Lampard.
Hazard is not the only new player for Chelsea that fans should keep an eye on this year, as Oscar and Marko Marin are sure to impress as well.
