Opening Day: July 15, 1999
Location of Park: 1250 First Ave. South
About Safeco Field:
Safeco Field, home of the Seattle Mariners, is located near the marvelous Puget Sound in the Pacific Northwest. It is one of six ballparks to feature a retractable roof. According to Scott Sistek of KomoNews.com, the roof is among the least used in the majors and was designed to effectively delay rain-outs for fans who trek miles upon miles to catch a ballgame.
