Paulina Gretzky can't really be all that surprised by what she saw on Twitter recently.

The daughter of the legendary Wayne Gretzky was good and appalled by some rumors floating around her Twitter, and that's her bread and butter.

If there was no Twitter, none of us would know who this Paulina lady was. OK, if there was no Wayne and Janet, we wouldn't know who she was, but you get my point.

She has taken to the Twitter canvas with smooth brushstrokes of bikini shots and sexy pics. In the end, Twitter has been very, very good to her.

Until now.

Busted Coverage saw some fumes of a rant over on the social media site, and it's all to do over a rumor that the Great One was in the hospital with a heart attack.

There is no information on how the rumors began, but they certainly affected the queen of the Twittersphere.

Here is the first tweet she sent out, blasting those spreading the apparently rampant rumors, and coloring them with some awful accusations.

My dad is NOT in the hospital, very terrible rumor & for all you saying "did you finally give your dad a heart attack?" you should be ashamed

The second tweet has a tinge more aggravation, understandably so.

Its one thing to constantly lie about me but you have to be a sick human being to say something like that about my dad. Im disgusted.

I am appalled, but not shocked.

You see, Paulina. People are awful. In fact, some people are the absolute worst, and there is just no way to keep those types from tweeting.

When you let people state every last thing that creeps through the transom of their mind, you are going to see some stuff.

We recently saw star Olympian Tom Daley get nasty tweets during the London Games over his deceased father.

Unfortunately, if you stick around social media for any amount of time, you are going to experience some truly horrible things.

Follow me on Twitter, because I'm slightly less awful.
