Kentucky Football: Joker Phillips Takes His Wildcats to the Pool
The Kentucky Wildcats took a break from the grind of fall camp to take a trip to the pool.
Clearly inspired by the diving competition in the Olympics, head coach Joker Phillips attempted a back flip at the 0:27 mark. It had decent form, but the judges will knock a few points off due to the poor entry.
The highlight of the video, without a doubt, is offensive guard Steven Duff. The 6'0", 330-pounder shows off his front flip, and adds in a half twist at the 1:25 mark, and then follows it up with another flip before deciding that flipping is overrated and splashes his teammates.
Wildcat players also showed off their technology and ability to multi-task, taking the camera with them on trips down the slide and off of the diving board.
Breaks like this aren't out of the ordinary during fall camp. Georgia head coach Mark Richt has taken his Bulldogs to the pool in the past, and even back-flipped off the high dive last season.
Way to keep things fun, Kentucky.
