We’re into transfer silly season now. The summer window shuts at the end of August and clubs are frantically running around, trying to seal last-minute deals.

This breeds a good deal of sensationalism in the media, of course. Some of it justified, some of it not.

We start this week with Robin van Persie. Is Arsenal’s best player about to switch to the Gunners’ Premier League rivals, Manchester United?

There are also rumors linking Arsenal’s Alex Song with a move away from North London.

And what of Nuri Sahin? The midfielder couldn’t get a game under Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid. Might he be about to land in the Premier League?
