The Cavaliers signed undrafted rookie center Micheal Eric to a three-year contract Friday. The first year has a partial guarantee and the last two years are nonguaranteed.

Eric, 24, is 6-foot-11 and 240 pounds. He averaged 9.0 points and 8.8 rebounds as a senior at Temple, but a knee injury eliminated any chance of him being drafted. He went to summer league with the Cavs and averaged 4.0 points and 3.8 rebounds, impressing the coaching staff with his defensive ability.
