Jack Swagger: Does His Absence from TV Mean That His WWE Run Is Over?

It has been two weeks since we have seen Jack Swagger on WWE television. The last time we saw him, he was quickly being squashed by Brodus Clay on the 1,000th episode of Raw. This is leading me to wonder if we have seen the last of Jack Swagger on WWE TV.

Prior to the terrible loss to Clay, Swagger suffered a series of defeats after being dumped by Vickie Guerrero in favor of Dolph Ziggler.

One positive for Swagger is that he is currently on the WWE tour in Japan, but he is being jobbed out to the likes of Zack Ryder. That's not exactly a sign of good things to come.

It appears the WWE brass do not have a plan for Swagger. This is really sad considering that as a former World Champion, you would think that they would want to keep the aura of his character alive.

It is hard to believe that they would so casually allow Swagger to suffer such a swift fall on the superstar ladder, but it has happened.

Many have dismissed Swagger as a big stiff who never deserved a shot in the first place, but I believe he has all of the tools and could be a power player on the roster.

Swagger’s absence on WWE television could mean that they are considering a gimmick change and are in the midst of repackaging him. If this is not the case, I don’t know what else there is in WWE for Swagger. When you are below Santino Marella and Zack Ryder in the hierarchy, your career does not look promising.

My hope is that WWE will reignite the potential that exists in Jack Swagger; however, my gut tells me that he will be jobbing to someone once again this week on Raw.
