Can MKG bring smiles to Charlotte Bobcats fans as well?

The Charlotte Bobcats made all kinds of wrong history by sporting the NBA's all-time worst win percentage in 2012. A team can only go up from there. Right?

In this episode of Basketball by Association, NBA assistant editors Ethan Norof and Joel C. Cordes break down all the key roster losses and additions, discuss the biggest storylines to watch and set realistic expectations for the Bobcats.

Drafting Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Jeffery Taylor were certainly solid moves, but are their "defensive hustle-guy" attributes a little too redundant for a roster that needed help everywhere?

Bringing in played-out veterans like Ben Gordon and Brendan Haywood might have made sense from an "experience needed" standpoint. Yet, will the Bobcats really waste minutes on them when their young guys should be getting the time to develop?

How will a fairly talented, yet relatively tiny backcourt rotation of Ramon Sessions, Kemba Walker and Gordon hold up against the league's lanky guards?

Have Byron Mullens, Bismack Biyombo and Tyrus Thomas developed during the offseason at all, or will this frontcourt once again be only marginally effective?

No one expects coach Mike Dunlap's team to contend for anything meaningful in 2013. However, can the team realistically double or even triple their win percentage?

That would be a real victory.

Bleacher Report's Basketball by Association is your final destination for all things NBA!
