Kentucky-South Carolina: Mitch Picks College Basketball (Feb. 25)

With both of these teams representing two-thirds of the first-place tie in the SEC East, this game should help clarify the picture, heading into the last few games of the regular season.
Long before this game tips off, both of these two will know exactly where they stand, as Florida will have either won or lost to LSU, which will clarify the picture somewhat—at least over the short term.
Much like the SEC as a whole, these two teams have been tough to figure out. Kentucky seems to bounce back just when they are ready to be counted out, and South Carolina seems to lose just when they are being crowned world-beaters.
While the Gamecocks have won three of their last five games, those wins came against Georgia, Alabama, and Arkansas—the three bottom-dwellers of the conference.
This game is a rematch of a game played in Lexington a few weeks back, a game won by South Carolina.
