Vancouver is manic-depressive with their hockey team these days.
Happy and hopeful after three straight wins—it only took a 4-1 loss to the Anaheim Ducks to throw the city off the wagon again.
The reason for the lack of confidence relies with the fact that the Vancouver Canucks' top producers aren't producing. The Sedin twins, Markus Naslund, and Taylor Pyatt have combined for only one goal in their last 10 games (which happened to be an empty net goal), bringing more fear that if there's no production down the stretch run;
it's highly probable that the trend could continue in to the playoffs.
That's right, despite the negative commotion surrounding the team, it appears that the wide majority of fans still feel very confident that their team will make the league's second season. But how far will depend on how far Roberto Luongo, Ryan Kesler, and Alex Burrows will take them.
Hardly reason for the city to anticipate any kind of Cup run.
