Tyrann Mathieu Dismissed from LSU Football Team
Tyrann Mathieu is no longer a member of the LSU Tigers, the school announced on its official athletic site. The talented cornerback was dismissed from the team for violating an undisclosed team policy.

LSU has dismissed Heisman Trophy finalist Tyrann Mathieu from its football program for violating school and team rules... At a news conference Friday, coach Les Miles would not specify the reason Mathieu was kicked off the team.

Mathieu was viewed as one of the top NFL prospects in college football after a dynamic sophomore campaign that saw him win the SEC Defensive Player of the Year and Chuck Bednarik Awards.
