Rising junior athlete Kiy Hester (Wayne, NJ) has already earned 11 scholarship offers from schools such as Arkansas, Michigan, Pittsburgh, Rutgers and Michigan State, where he recently enjoyed an unofficial visit.
Spartan defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi is Hester's primary recruiter for the time being, because he would like to see the 6'2", 200-pounder follow in the footsteps of all-Big Ten safety Isaiah Lewis and be the centerpiece of a potentially outstanding secondary during his time in East Lansing.
In addition to meeting with Narduzzi, the De Paul Catholic standout got a chance to have a conversation with his potential position coach Harlon Barnett, who was a standout defensive back at Michigan State in the late 1980s, as well as current Spartan stars William Gholston and Le'Veon Bell.
The New Jersey native does not plan on making a decision anytime soon. However, the Spartans will be near the top of Hester's list for much of his recruitment after how well his visit to East Lansing went.
"Michigan State is really standing out for me right now," Hester said. "I want to take all of my official visits before I make my decision though."
It is way to early to project which school Hester will eventually wind up committing to, but continue to check back for more updates on his recruitment.
