Michigan State defeated Wisconsin 61-50 on Sunday to maintain their one game lead in the Big Ten Conference standings. The Badgers actually led by 6 at half before the Spartans took over in the second half. Michigan State out-rebounded Wisconsin 34-18, paced by Goran Suton’s 10 boards. Suton, who made a comment about the dirty play of the Badgers prior to the game, also added 16 points in 26 minutes of play. With the slim conference lead and upcoming games against Illinois and Purdue, the Spartans can’t afford to slip up against teams like Iowa and Indiana.
