NFL Free Agency: Buffalo Bills Looking for Help at DE

Aaron Schobel's and Chris Kelsay's contracts are huge, so are expectations.

Last year, the two defensive ends had to play nearly every down with Al Wallace going down in the preseason, Ryan Denny's foot injury, and Anthony Hargrove's suspension.

The Bills are looking at some free agents to lighten the load that Schobel and Kelsay will carry in 2008.

St. Louis Rams' defensive end James Hall is one of the top options for a Bills team looking to bolster its defensive line. The 31-year-old still has very unique pass rushing skills and could push Kelsay into becoming a better player. Most likely if signed, he would serve as a rotational player with the two incumbent defensive ends.

I think the recently released Kalimba Edwards from Detroit should be looked at, as well. The kid is a pretty good finesse rusher who would also serve as a great rotational player/backup.

The Bills also might look to the draft for young depth at the DE position.

    i don't no kelsey is pretty much the same player im not sure we need to sign him when we could could get a depth player in the draft

    I think that Buffalo has a decent DE crop with schobel and kelsey but besides them there is no one. They signed spencer johnson from minnesota who can play anything on the DL and Hall is visiting so.I would like to see them pick up a young DE in the draft late but we can spare this year becuz we need help at the CB and WR position and you can always sign a sure DE after the draft and the DL crop shouldnt be to bad this year with the additions of Stroud,Edwards,Johnson,and maybe Hall it gives us depth all arcoss the board.Yes our DL was a weak spot last year but we definietly have improved that drastically....GO BILLS!!!!

    I'm still waiting for the next BRUCE!!!!!!!!!!! I'm fine w/ them loking at the DE position. I like our 2 starters, (not thier contracts). We could use a rotaional guy to get that rush on the QB and talley up more sacks. Denny will be back healthy again as well.

    would anyone consider taking a DE in the first 2 rounds? Suppose Harvey in the first or definitly Gholston if he fell?
