The Boston Bruins have had some of the best if not the best goaltending in the NHL this year. Tim Thomas has once again proven his doubters wrong that he is for real and Manny Fernandez has bounced back from his leg injury he suffered last year that held him out for most of the year.
The question now is what do you do with both of them. They both have expiring contracts at the end of the year and the bruins don't have enough cap space to resign both of them. Both Fernandez and Thomas will also be 35 by the start of next year.
Most people figure they will resign Thomas and let Fernandez go which I think is the right move. But should the Bruins keep Fernandez for a deep playoff run or trade him away for a forward or defensmen.
If they do trade him away they can bring up Tukka Rask who shutout the rangers early this year but hasn't had much experience in the NHL.
So would you rather keep Fernandez for the playoffs or trade him away and get some value for him before the deadline?
