UFC: Jeff Cox vs. Manny Gamburyan

Jeff Cox, a relative unknown comes into his second UFC fight against TUF 6 runner up Manny Gamburyan.

Cox, whose first and only fight in the UFC resulted in a loss to Gleison Thibau, comes back for a second stint in the UFC. Unfortunately, for him he goes against a tough Manny Gamburyan.

Manny comes off a relatively easy win against Nate Mohr. Manny is still trying to redeem his loss to Nate Diaz in the TUF 6 finale due to a pre-existing shoulder injury. It was disappointing seeing him lose, but I think Manny is ready for a tear through the division. Cox, a Cleveland police officer, is still looking to make a name in a stacked division. A winner over a tough guy like Manny could make him a mainstay in the UFC for at least a while.

In addition, Cox is not getting any younger at 40.

This is a must win for Manny. He cannot afford to falter against "lesser" competition. In addition, if he wants a rematch with Nate Diaz, he has to keep winning. Cox has some KO power along with the ability to submit fighters on the ground. Cox's best bet is to keep this fight standing if he wants to win. Manny has an extensive Judo background and is the cousin of fellow UFC fighter Karo Parisyan. He has good power on his feet but will look to take the fight to the ground and pound Cox out.
