Welcome to BR5, your daily source for sports and pop-culture news.
We at BR5 have Olympic fever! If you don’t, you’re in luck, because we have a list that anyone can appreciate. Beach Volleyball! Here’s out top 10 Hottest Olympic Women’s Beach Volleyball Pairs.
At No. 10 is the Brazilian Team of Larissa Franca and Juliana Silva. The two have been competing together for eight years. They’ve done very well for themselves in other competitions over the years; this year they will compete to replicate that success in London.
At No. 9 is American duo Misty May-Traynor and Kerri Walsh-Jennings. The two are undefeated at the Olympic Games, and a gold-medal finish in London would be their third consecutive gold medal in Olympic competition.
At No. 8 are the adorable Italians, Cicolari Greta and Menegatti Marta. Even though they only have three years of experience together, they could be a dark horse to bring Italy it’s first gold in beach volleyball.
At No. 7 is Marketa Slukova and Kristyna Kolocova of the Czech Republic. Even though they fell short against Americans Misty May-Traynor and Kerri Walsh-Jennings, these two have much to be proud of in terms of their showing at the Olympics.
At No. 6 is Laura Ludwig and Sara Goller of Germany. Ludwig and Goller fought hard against the Brazilian pair of Antonelli and Rocha, but in the end, they couldn’t get it done.
For No. 5, we have more Germans! Katrin Holtwick and Ilka Semmler, along with the duo of Ludwig and Goller, certainly make Germany the hottest country for women’s beach volleyball.
At No. 4 we go down under for the duo of Becchara Palmer and Louise Bawden. Regardless of their skills on in the sand, these two Australians love to have their pictures taken, while running away from the camera.
Our third pair is Russian duo Ekaterina Khomyakova and Evgeniya Ukolova. Say that three times fast! Whether you can or not, these two would certainly leave you at a loss for words in any language.
In at No. 2 is the other American pair. April Ross and Jen Kessy aren’t as high-profile as Misty May-Traynor and Kerri Walsh-Jennings, but after this year at the Games, they should garner some more attention going forward.
And finally at No. 1 is the hottest women’s beach volleyball team at the Games. It's no surprise they come to us from Brazil, as Talita Rocha and Maria Antonelli are pure knockouts. No way around it!
