Fedor vs. Randy would have to play out a few different ways:

Scenario No. 1: Fedor would be making $1 million a fight plus PPV %.  Affliction would no longer be putting on fights as their star has left the building.

Scenario No. 2: UFC buys Affliction (fight promotion and clothing line), and Fedor is packaged into the deal and is making $1 million a fight plus PPV %.

Scenario No. 3: It's just a rumor.

I am thinking No. 3.  The heralded UFC 100 show should be a fightacular event, but I don't see Dana White and Co. pulling out all the stops for this show.

Per MMAFrenzy.com and their rumor section...

GSP vs. Thiago Alves

Rashad vs. Quinton Jackson or Lyoto Machida

Michael Bisping vs. Dan Henderson

Though these are just rumors, they seem more realistic than Fedor vs. Randy.

Supposedly, Affliction is going to lower their payouts in reaction to the economy and that may prompt fighters to look elsewhere, but I don't seem them paying Fedor any less unless they are planning to exit the fight game.
