Arsenal Transfer News: Tracking All the Latest Rumors and Updates

1 of 8

Arsene Wenger has been a busy man over the summer transfer window.

The Emirates will welcome two new signings in Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski and looks certain to welcome another one in Spanish international Santi Cazorla. Who knows, it might even host Dutch striker Robin van Persie for another season?

There's been plenty of big names rumored to be making a move to Arsenal this week and the Gunners are believed to be interested in several more.

So for all your Arsenal transfer news and updates, this is the place to be.

Read on to see who could be coming to the club this summer.

Robin Van Persie

Kicking off our list, as always it seems, is Arsenal captain Robin van Persie, whose future we are no less closer to understanding than last week.

Roberto Mancini has conceded that Manchester City will not be signing the striker (via Goal) and Arsene Wenger thinks that he's done enough to retain the striker for next season (via The Daily Mirror)—both of which we kind of really knew already.

It seems that this saga might well fizzle out into nothing.

Santi Cazorla

But the good news for Gunners fans is that new signing Santi Cazorla should be officially announced in the next few days after his former Malaga teammates told the media that the Spanish international had indeed left the club, according to The Independent.

Cazorla will be Arsenal's third key signing of the summer—a particularly shrewd and smart move by Arsene Wenger to capitalize on the poor financial situation at Malaga and pick himself up a bargain player.

In my opinion, Arsenal have got the steal of the summer with Santi Cazorla.

Victor Wanyama

Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama is also being rumored to be a potential transfer target for the Gunners this summer, according to The Daily Mail.

Scouts from the London club are believed to have watched the Kenyan international more than once this summer—who would likely cost the club around £7 million, should they pursue any deal.

Alex Song

According to a report in The Sun, Arsenal midfielder Alex Song is wanted by Spanish giants Barcelona over the summer transfer window for around £16 million.

Not much more is known about the interest, other than the fact that Barca are happy with Arsenal's financial evaluation of the player who led the club in assists last season.

Kevin Mirallas

Kevin Mirallas is another surprise transfer target being thrown around this summer, with the 24-year-old Belgian international believed to be on the Gunners radar (via The Daily Mail).

Mirallas picked up the player of the year award for his goal-scoring efforts for current club Olympiakos and has already seen plenty of interest throughout the transfer window.

Mirallas would cost Arsenal around £7 million.

Benik Afobe

7 of 8

Arsenal striker Benik Afobe has confirmed via his Twitter account that he will be joining Bolton Wanderers on a season-long loan for the upcoming English Premier League season.

The news about the 19-year-old's loan is a win-win for both clubs—Bolton needing all the attacking help they can get to win their way back into promotion, whilst Afobe needs all the game-time and development he can for his future.

Nuri Sahin

8 of 8

And wrapping up our transfer news is Real Madrid Nuri Sahin, who could be on his way to the Gunners for the upcoming season after manager Jose Mourinho gave "permission" for the Turkish maestro to move to the club on loan (per Goal).

The 23-year-old would be a huge addition in the Gunners midfield for next season and combined with Giroud, Podolski, Cazorla and Van Persie, would make Arsenal genuine contenders in both the English and European competition.
